| Description: | This point file contains the locations of over 7,700 signalized intersections. This data set was created by the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP). The locations of signals were determined based upon data submitted by the City of Chicago, IDOT, Cook County, DuPage County, Lake County, Will County, Kane County, McHenry County and the the RTA/UIC Regional Signal Survey. The data set was initially released in May 2001 and was updated in 2002 and 2008. |
