RTA logo Midlothian Metra Station Access Improvements

Study Description

This project consists of the following improvements in the Midlothian Metra station area: removal and replacement of 8,542 square feet of sidewalk, installation of 1,268 feet of crosswalks, installation of ADA handicapped panels/ detectable warnings at 68 locations, and pedestrian lighting improvements on 147th Street from Pulaski to Central Park.

Current Activities:A solicitation for bids opened in March 2018 and a contractor was selected. Construction began in summer of 2018 and is 85% complete. Remaining items include the delivery of light poles in July 2019, with construction completion anticipated for August 2019.
