Kendall Community Transit Program

Project Description

The vehicles and operations funded by this program will be used for demand responsive paratransit service to provide door-to-door service for populations of the disabled, low income, and senior populations in the urban portions of Kendall County. The project is designed to be the first phase of a countywide general public transportation system.

Current Activities:

Kendall County implemented the service on March 22, 2010. The service provided 1,564 trips in February 2013. All federal funds for this project were exhausted in early April 2013. During the last 12 months, ridership averaged over 1,400 trips/month. The service is continuing with local funding support.
