RTA logo Pace Queue-Jump Feasibility and Design Study

Study Description

The goal of this study is to investigate the feasibility of bus queue-jump lanes for the RTA service area. Specifically, conceptual designs will be evaluated for urban, suburban, and rural applicability. The objective of the Queue Jump Feasibility, Location and Design Study is to identify intersections that are candidates for queue jump lane operations. Recommended roadway geometry and traffic signal treatments will be included in the operational analysis for improving transit schedule adherence, and reducing intersection delays.
