Description

The proposed scope of work is for renovations of the stations. Entry & platform stairway improvements will entail painted ceilings and new escalators, kiosks, granite stair treads & risers, glazed wall tiles and lighting. Mezzanine improvements will entail sealing floors and new plaster ceilings, lighting and rotogates. Platform improvements entail new granite pavers, stainless steel wall coverings, lighting and furniture.

Current Activities:The project is in the design phase. CTA is currently reviewing the final designs submitted for the Grand, Chicago and Division Stations. The project permitting process has been completed. Coordination with the City and State departments, utilities and Alderman┐s office and organizing, scoping and pricing of construction trade work packages has begun. Construction has tentatively been scheduled to begin in June of 2019.
