The project scope consists of the rehabilitation of the Deering bridge over the North Branch of the Chicago River. It also includes the rehabilitation of the Webster Avenue bridge just south of the Deering bridge and the fill of the bridge over the former Milwaukee Road just north of Deering bridge. This project represents a major investment of the Union Pacific North line. The rehabilitation of the bridges includes replacement of various bridge components with similar materials in an effort to maintain the original design intent.
